“The principle of the gospel is this:
The gospel always brings life to the receiver,
and death to the giver.
If the gospel brought death to Jesus Christ, why would we think that in preaching the gospel it would be any less for us?…
So the mixture of our message is life and death,
And laughter and tears…
And this is voluntary.
This is not a sentence at all…
We’re not sentenced to death.
We’re just privileged to answer His call…”

"Life to the receiver and death to the giver…"
Reminds me of "…To die is gain" (Phil. 1:21) and "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)
Which must be why every one that fully receives ends up dying so that they can give too.

Wow….privileged….privileged to answer His call! What a thought. Just this morning I was reading that the work we are privileged to do is the work the angels covet. Lord open our eyes to the needs around us and make us excited about the privilege of answering the call.
